The plot
The story of the magical Orient city.

This is a 4 year old idea. Ever since I made Beneath the Surface mix in September 2009, I wanted to create something like this. It's the reason why you can hear some relatively old tracks in this set, combined with newer production. The set can be interpreted as oriental progressive house.  

I changed the concept numerous times. At the end, I deleted a spiritual intro with musical sequences from three religions, even though I worked on it for such a long time. Instead of it, the mix begins with Raoui with lyrics "I'm about to tell a story..." and it moves to a couple of great Mahmut Orhan tracks with edit of Gentle Touch, which became an underground classic over the years.

Gradation goes from lighter to darker sounds, reaching the end.
